Design description

The K-151D carburetor established on the car with the ZMZ-4063 engine, has two nearby vertical suited (chambers) for air pass, in the lower part of each of which the rotary butterfly valve is established. The drive of butterfly valves is arranged so that in process of pressing an accelerator pedal one at first opens, and then other zaslonka. The chamber in which the butterfly valve opens earlier, is called the first, another – the second.

In an average part of each of the main air channels there are the cone-shaped narrowings-diffuzory creating depression in a stream of air, necessary for a fuel podsasyvaniye from being in the case of the carburetor of special capacity — the poplavkovy chamber.

Necessary for normal operation of the carburetor fuel level in the poplavkovy chamber is supported by means of the mechanism with a float and the needle valve.

The Poplavkovy mechanism of the carburetor completely (together with a needle and a float) is placed in the case of the carburetor and is available to visual control after cover removal (fuel level it is possible to measure in the poplavkovy chamber, without taking out a float).

The carburetor consists of three main parts:

  1. the top — case covers, with a flange and hairpins of fastening of the case of the air filter, with the device of ventilation of the poplavkovy chamber and details of the starting arrangement. The cover fastens seven screws to the carburetor case through cardboard laying;
  2. average — carburetor cases, with the poplavkovy chamber and the poplavkovy mechanism, the toplivopodvodyashchy union and toplivodoziruyushchy systems;
  3. the bottom — cases of butterfly valves, with butterfly valves and the mechanism of their drive, and also the idling device, fastening to the carburetor case from below two screws through three laying (two thin – cardboard and one thick – plastic).

Idling system — independent, with adjustment of structure of a mix.

In the second chamber of the carburetor there is a transitional system with supply of fuel directly from the poplavkovy chamber which enters work at the moment of opening of a butterfly valve of the second chamber.

The accelerating pump of diafragmenny type entering work by sharp pressing a pedal of an accelerator. For enrichment of gas mixture at full loading in the second chamber it is provided эконостат.

The starting arrangement — semi-automatic type, consists of the pneumoproof-reader, system of levers and the air zaslonka which closing before start-up of the cold engine is made by means of a manual drive. At the moment of engine start-up the pneumoproof-reader under the influence of the depression arising in the inlet pipeline, automatically slightly opens an air zaslonka on a demanded corner, providing steady operation of the engine at warming up.

The system of shutdown of supply of fuel (ekonomayzer of compulsory idling) enters work on a mode of compulsory idling when braking car by the engine, when there is no need for supply of fuel in the engine. Thereby the economy of fuel is provided and emission of toxic substances in the atmosphere decreases.
