Adjustment of a drive of the parking brake

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

It is more convenient to work at a viewing ditch.

We regulate a drive of the parking brake at increase in a course of its lever more, than on 20 teeths supervised on clicks, and also after replacement of any of elements of brake mechanisms of back wheels.
We transfer the lever of the parking brake to extreme bottom situation.

By screw-driver it is hooked and we take out the top...

... and bottom plastic caps from openings in a brake board.

Head «on 17» we weaken on 1–2 turns a nut of the clown of the brake mechanism.

Long head «on 9» or a special tubular key we turn a bolt of the clown, moving apart brake shoes prior to the beginning of a drum zatormazhivaniye. Then we turn a bolt of the clown in the opposite direction, reducing blocks till the beginning of rotation of a drum. The easy contact is allowed by drum blocks.

Movement of blocks we supervise through the bottom observation ports in a brake board.
Head «on 17» we tighten a nut of the clown the moment 2,4–3,5 кгс.м, without allowing a pro-collar of the clown.
Similarly we regulate the brake mechanism on the other side of the car and we establish plastic caps in brake boards.

Two keys «on 24» we weaken an inhaling of nuts of fastening of covers of cables and, moving nuts by a carving part of covers, we establish the equalizer perpendicular to a car axis.

We tighten lock-nuts of both cables. Thus the level of the equalizer should be perpendicular a longitudinal axis of the car.
We lift the lever of the parking brake on one tooth of sector (one click).
Rotating a nut of the back end of a cover of the central cable, we move a cable forward prior to the beginning of a pritormazhivaniye of wheels, then …

… we tighten nuts of a tip of the central cable the moment 2,5–3,5 кгс.м.

We lower the lever of the parking brake and we are convinced that back wheels rotate freely.
Otherwise we repeat adjustment.
Adjustment of a drive of the parking brake can be executed and in a different way.
Having weakened a nut of the clown of the brake mechanism, a long head or a tubular key «on 9» we turn a bolt of the clown until the resistance to rotation caused by a release of blocks will begin to be felt. It is possible to watch movement of blocks through the bottom observation ports in a board.
We tighten a nut of the clown, without allowing his povorachivaniye.
Similarly we regulate the brake mechanism on the other side of the car and we establish into place removed brake caps.
We weaken an inhaling of nuts of fastening of cables of wheel brake mechanisms, and moving nuts, we eliminate люфт between tips of cables and the equalizer.
We tighten lock-nuts of both cables. Thus the level of the equalizer should be perpendicular a longitudinal axis of the car.

Ruler or roulette we measure distance between the equalizer and a forward wall of an arm. It should be within 144–150 mm.

If necessary we regulate the provision of the central cable similar to adjustment of back cables. If after that appeared люфт between tips of back cables and the equalizer, we eliminate люфт as it was described above.
At correctly adjusted drive the lever of the parking brake should not move more than on 15 teeths of sector.
