The car has working and lay brake systems. Working brake system hydraulic, double-circuit (it is divided into forward and back contours), with the vacuum amplifier, a pressure regulator in a drive of back brakes and the sensor of emergency falling of level of brake liquid in a tank. At refusal of one of contours of working brake system the second contour provides car braking, though with smaller efficiency.
Brake mechanisms of forward wheels disk, with an one-piston floating bracket (when braking the piston presses an internal block to a disk, and a bracket, being displaced in an opposite direction, presses to it an external block). Minimum admissible thickness of overlays of forward brake shoes — 3 mm. Brake disks ventilated, are established on naves, and everyone fastens to them three screws with a secret head. Minimum admissible thickness of a disk — 19 mm. The bracket consists of the basis which fastens two bolts to a suspension bracket rack, and the case connected with the basis through directing fingers. The brake cylinder is executed in the case of a bracket and protected from dirt by a rubber cover (boot). In the cylinder the pro-point into which the sealing ring (cuff) is inserted is executed. When when braking the piston is put forward from the cylinder, this ring is slightly braided and after the completion of braking aspires to return the piston to a starting position. At the expense of it the constant minimum gap between a disk and brake shoes is supported.
Brake mechanisms of back wheels drum-type, with two-piston cylinders and automatic adjustment of gaps between blocks and a drum. The persistent rings limiting a free wheeling of pistons after the completion of braking are inserted into the cylinder with a tightness. In process of wear of blocks of a ring move on wear size at the expense of what the constant gap between blocks and a drum is supported. In the top part of brake shoes clowns for adjustment of a drive of the parking brake are located. Minimum admissible residual thickness of overlays of back brake shoes – 1 mm. The most admissible internal diameter of a brake drum – 283 mm.
The main brake cylinder with a two-section tank and the sensor of emergency falling of level of brake liquid fastens to the vacuum amplifier. Pistons in the cylinder are located consistently, the next to the vacuum amplifier puts in action brake mechanisms of back wheels, other piston – lobbies. In the absence of leakages of liquid its level should be in a tank of the main brake cylinder between labels the MOVE and MIN. In process of wear of brake slips level goes down. In case of strong falling of level as a result of violation of tightness of brake system works the sensor and in a combination of devices the lamp of red color lights up. In this case to add liquid it is possible only after malfunction elimination.
The vacuum amplifier is located between pedal knot and the main brake cylinder and fastens to an arm on four hairpins. For increase in brake effort depression in the inlet pipeline of the engine to which the amplifier is connected by a hose is used. The amplifier of not folding design, at failure it is replaced entirely. On cars with the GAZ-560 engine depression for operation of the vacuum amplifier is created by the special vacuum pump fixed on a back cover of the generator.
The regulator of pressure fastens to the left longeron of a frame. It corrects pressure of brake liquid in a contour of brakes of back wheels depending on car loading that increases course stability when braking. At failure a regulator replace new. After replacement of a regulator or elements of a back suspension bracket it is necessary to adjust the provision of a loading spring concerning a beam of the back bridge (see. Adjustment of a drive of a regulator).
The pressure regulator, and also cylinders of brake mechanisms of lobbies and back wheels have unions for pumping of contours of brake system.
Knots and units of brake system are connected among themselves by steel tubes and rubber hoses.
