Removal and dismantling of a steering column

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

Having hooked a screw-driver, we remove a decorative slip.

Holding a steering wheel from a provorachivaniye, a head «on 24» we turn on a nut.

Steering wheel we pull together from shliyets of a shaft with a special stripper. If the stripper is not present, we leave a nut on a carving aflush with an end face of a carving part of a shaft.

Knees we draw in a rim to themselves and in hammer blows on a shaft end face through a brass opravka we force down a steering wheel from shliyets.

… we remove a steering wheel from a shaft.

By Shlitseva a screw-driver it is turned on two screws which are pulling together casings of a steering column.

We remove the top casing.

We transfer a steering column to extreme top situation (see. Adjustment of provision of a steering column).

We reject the top edge of a casing on themselves to an exit of its clamp from a column cut …

… also we remove a casing, displacing it up.

To remove a steering column, it is necessary to disconnect it from a shaft crosspiece.

For this purpose it is necessary to beat out a wedge from a fork on weight that is inconvenient. Therefore we recommend to remove a column with the driveshaft assembled.

In a motor compartment пассатижами we take out шплинт from a wedge opening.

Key «on 13» we turn on a nut and we leave it on a carving aflush with a wedge end face.

Hammer through a brass opravka we beat out a wedge and, having finally unscrewed a nut, …

… we take out it.

We remove a hinge fork from a shaft of the steering mechanism.

We take out spring clamps of a sealant of a shaft.

Head «on 12» we turn on four bolts of fastening of a steering column.

We remove a column assembled with the driveshaft.

We remove a crosspiece fork from a shaft of a steering column (similar to removal of a fork of the hinge from a shaft of the steering mechanism, see above) and we disconnect from a steering column...

... driveshaft assembled.

We remove from a steering column the ignition switch (see. Replacement of the switch of ignition).

Holding a bolt a key «on 12», a key «on 13» we turn on a nut.

We take out a bolt and the plug.

Having unscrewed a nut and having taken out the second bolt of fastening (it without the plug), …

... we remove an arm of a steering column.

We collect and establish the removed details in return sequence.
The bottom casing fastens:

G a-shaped ledge for a bolt of a steering column …

… and a flat ledge for a cut of a steering column.

Steering wheel we establish on a shlitsa of a steering shaft in the provision of rectilinear movement, having convinced that wheels did not turn aside.
